Again, I found some flaws in their argument. The fetus is accepted as a living human being, but just because it's not out of the womb, it's not a person that deserves rights. But what about that third trimester? Is the fetus not still in the womb? Okay then. Let's just say that it's not right in the third trimester, and that's the point where it's able to have the natural right of life (which, can I say, is one of the three Natural Rights that began in the America revolution). What about a split second before the third trimester begins? Is it still okay? Or how about one minute. Literally one more minute for the fetus to grow into the stage where it'll be able to live forever; would you still willing to take the life if this "un-person?" And the other part where not even a husband can tell his wife what to do with her body. And I agree with that completely. Women shouldn't have the obligation to do what her husband wants with her own body. And that would be a perfect argument for another debate, because this is about the growing body of a fetus inside of the woman; just because the woman is |
Reflection: I found myself reading with some more passion about the topic. I got so many ideas and new arguments, and I even found myself getting angry at some people's arguments. I can honestly feel myself becoming more Pro-life as I'm reading both arguments, and I'm glad. In my about page, I explain why I wanted to get into this topic, and I feel as if I'm finally being able to make a better judgment with better knowledge. I think I'm starting to do my blogs freestyle, just writing whatever I want to share from the book and giving my own feedback and the way I'm seeing things.
